Buongiorno a tutti, oggi vorrei parlarvi di un argomento molto carino ed interessante che riguarda i nostri bimbi: il Cestino dei Tesori! Ne avete mai sentito parlare? Credo proprio di si! Quando i nostri bambini imparano a stare seduti e a tenere in mano gli oggetti, in genere intorno ai 6 mesi, adorano scoprire materiale di vario tipo, che vedono in giro per la casa ma che ancora non riescono a raggiungere autonomamente. Un’attività particolarmente adatta ad  ‘allenare’ il coordinamento occhi-mano e a favorire lo sviluppo dei cinque sensi è il cestino dei tesori, ideato da Elinor Goldschmied (1910-2009), psicopedagogista ed educatrice inglese e adottato anche nei nidi Montessori. Che cosa occorre dunque per crearlo? Occorrono un cesto di vimini basso (o una scatola di cartone piuttosto robusta) e un’accurata selezione di oggetti domestici o naturali.Devono essere tutti abbastanza grandi e privi di bordi taglienti che possano ferire il bambino che li toccherà e, molto probabilmente, li porterà alla bocca. Quando i vostri bambini erano piccoli avete mai provato a farne uno? Io l’ho fatto, su consiglio di una cara amica ed educatrice e ricordo ancora lo stupore negli occhi di…..Il cesto dei tesori deve creare meraviglia, curiosità e senso di scoperta. Il contenuto del cestino dovrebbe essere continuamente rinnovato e sviluppato con cura e attenzione. All’adulto spetta il compito di renderlo sempre interessante aggiungendo nuovi oggetti in modo che il bimbo possa variare, ogni volta, la sua esplorazione. Gli oggetti contenuti nel cesto devono offrire la massima varietà di stimoli attraverso: il tatto – forma, consistenza, peso, l’olfatto – varietà di odori, il gusto – ambito più ridotto ma possibile,l’udito – squilli, trilli, tintinnii,la vista – colore, forma, lunghezza, lucentezza.Quindi cosa possiamo mettere nel cesto del nostro bimbo? Oggetti naturali: pigne, sassi, conchiglie, castagne, piume, tappi di sughero, una spugna naturale. Oggetti di tessuto materiali naturali: palla di lana, spazzolino da denti, sottobicchiere di paglia, pennello per il trucco, pennello da imbianchino.Oggetti in legno: cucchiaio da cucina, mollette da bucato, cubi, portatovagliolo, scatoline, nacchere non dipinte, sonagli di diversi tipi.Oggetti in metallo: cucchiai vari, mazzo di chiavi, piccolo imbuto, scatolette sigillate con dentro fagioli, riso, fermacarte, campanello bici, colino per il tè, formine per dolci.Oggetti in pelle, tessuto, gomma: collarino animali domestici, borsellino in pelle, bambolina di stoffa, pallina da tennis, tappo di gomma da vasca, sacchettini stoffa, ben cuciti, con dentro lavanda, timo, rosmarino…Carta, cartone: scatolette di cartone, rotoli carta igienica…Ai bambini, seduti di fronte al cesto viene lasciata massima libertà di esplorare gli oggetti che preferiscono, gli oggetti vengono afferrati, toccati, passati da una mano all’altra e portati alla bocca; esaurita l’esplorazione di un certo oggetto, il bambino ne sceglierà un altro. Il genitore in questo gioco dovrà comportarsi semplicemente da osservatore, cercando di garantire serenità al bambino senza intervenire!
