Buongiorno love people! Come state? Come sono andate le vostre vacanze? Noi siamo appena tornati dall’ Alta Badia dove abbiamo passato una settimana nell’ incantevole Corvara…., mentre la settimana di Natale l’abbiamo passata a casa.  Che cosa abbiamo fatto nella settimana di Natale? Io e Ginevra abbiamo trascorso il nostro tempo a giocare con la poca neve scesa e a fare lunghe passeggiate all’aria aperta … e nei pomeriggi, durante le sue ore di sonno sono anche riuscita a prendermi cura di me stessa a casa mia, giusto per prepararmi alla vacanza di quest’ultima settimana. Avete presente cosa significa per una mamma prendersi cura di sè?  Tipo andare da colei che una volta era anche la nostra psicologa oltre che l’amica fidata che ci sistemava corpo, viso e mani o da colei che comunemente chiamiamo estetista?

Ok, Facciamo velocemente una riflessione.

1. Avere tempo libero dal proprio lavoro. (Rido … “tempo” e “Libero”, sostantivo e aggettivo che a casa mia non vanno mai insieme!)

2. Provare a  chiedere ad una nonna disponibile se può tenerti la pupa. Tua madre non può mai nei veri momenti di bisogno e ti tocca chiederlo alla suocera che ti guarda e ti risponde che sei a casa dal lavoro. Capisci tutto e chiami al volo la baby sitter, ma pure lei è impegnata, forse in vacanza con il fidanzato nuovo di zecca ( momenti sognati da te già dimenticati!). All’ultimo secondo tua sorella, (zia, amica del cuore, vicina di casa fidata) ti dice: ” Vai dove vuoi un paio d’ore, te la tengo io! ( Lo consideri Il miracolo di Natale!)

3. Prendere appuntamento dalla tua estetista: siccome ti sei presa all’ ultimo secondo,  dopo averti chiesto (e dopo averti fatto notare con una vena sottilissima di ironia)  se sei ancora viva ti dirà che non ha posto e tu pensi che un tempo te lo avrebbe trovato ad ogni costo un posto, ma lei non è più l’amica fidata e psicologa alla quale  lasciavi una media di 30 euro alla settimana. Quindi devi fare altre 10 chiamate e forse troverai quella che sbuffando ti risponderà: “Mi si è liberato un posto proprio ora, puoi venire prima possibile?”.

4. Corri a vestirti alla velocità della luce, tua sorella (zia, amica del cuore, vicina di casa fidata) arriva, non le dici nemmeno ciao e sei già in auto mentre la piccola urla perché non vuole che tu te ne vada… Stai correndo  verso  quel centro estetico che è logicamente il più caro della città,  perché solo quello poteva avere un posto disponibile … Non appena varcata la soglia, inizi a respirare, ma ti senti stranita perché donne bellissime, abitue del centro,  ti guardano come se fossi un marziano e in fondo un po’ marziano lo sei (inizi a chiederti quando è stata l’ultima volta che ti sei pettinata o messa un po’ di trucco e ricordi che le tue docce sono tutte delle toccate e fuga con tuo figlio che ti batte da dietro il vetro)

Ecco,  adesso potete tirarmi fuori la storia che le donne dovrebbero prendersi cura di se stesse, perché quando hanno dei figli si lasciano andare, non sono più come prima eccetera eccetera…. ma io sono convinta che una mamma quando ha un figlio piccolo faccia veramente fatica a guardarsi persino allo specchio e quindi, siccome in realtà un po’ di ragione l’avete,  ho deciso che il centro benessere me lo faccio in casa mia. Come? Good morning love people! How have you been? And how did your Christmas holidays go? We just got back from Alta Badia where we spent a week in the beautiful city of Corvara… As for the Christmas week, we just stayed home. What did we do during the Christmas week? Well, Ginevra and I spent most of our time playing in the little bit of snow that fell in our town and going for long walks in the open air… Also, during those days, in the afternoon while Ginevra was taking a nap, I also made time to take care of myself at the house, so that I could be all ready for the upcoming vacation! Do you know what it means for a mom to be able to take care of herself? Things like going to the beauty salon and see that one special friend how once used to look after our body, face and hands who’s normally called a beautician?

Ok, let’s make a quick reflection.

1. Find some free time outside of work (which makes me smile as the words “time” and “free” don’t usually go together for me!).

2. Ask an available grandmother to look after our child. That’s when your mom obviously has prior commitments and you have to ask your mother-in-law, which immediately points out that you are not working so you have to find another solution. But the babysitter is busy too, possibly on vacation with her brand new boyfriend (moments that you can only live in your dreams now and are long gone for you!). But then, at the last second, your amazing sister (aunt, best friend and trusty neighbor) tells you: “go ahead and take some time for yourself, I’ll take care of the baby for a couple of hours!”. Christmas Miracles do happen!

3. Make an appointment at your favorite beauty salon where you haven’t been in ages, which, since you called at the last second, is not going to have any availability (and you think to yourself that a few years ago they would have found a spot for you no matter what!). But since you no longer go there, for a total cost of at least 30 Euro a week, you need to make 10 more phone calls until you finally find an available beautician who’s going to give you an appointment snorting!.

4. So you get ready as fast as you can, your sister (aunt, best friend and trusty neighbor) gets there but you don’t even have time to say hi and you are already in your car, as your child is screaming because they don’t want you to leave. You are finally on your way to the salon, which obviously is the most expensive in the city, and as you walk in you feel extremely uncomfortable because some beautiful women who go there every day, look at you like you were a Martian, and, in the end, maybe you really are. Their looks make you wonder when was the last time you combed your hair or did your makeup and you realize that your showers are all super quick, with your child yelling and pounding on the glass door.

Ok, now you can tell me that women should take better care of themselves and that they shouldn’t stop doing that just because they have children… but I honestly think that for a woman with a child it is truly difficult to make time even just for looking at herself in the mirror. So, since you are all right, I decided to create my very own home beauty salon, would you like to know how I did that? I simply bought the new VisaCare by Philips.
