Simone De Biase: ho fondato Heal Onlus quando la mia bambina si è ammalata di tumore

«La speranza è la vera fede. Il motore che mi ha portato ad intraprendere il percorso che ha portato alla nascita di Heal Onlus». Simone De Biase è un padre che non ha mai perso la speranza nemmeno quando la sua piccola Gaia si è ammalata di una rara forma di tumore che la vigilia di Natale del 2015 le ha fatto chiudere gli occhi per sempre.

Da quel giorno, insieme alla sua famiglia, non si è arreso al dolore ma ha cercato di dare nuova speranza ad altri bambini colpiti da tumori cerebrali e ai loro genitori fondando Heal Onlus per sostenere medici, infermieri e biologi che quotidianamente operano a favore della cura e della ricerca nell’ambito della neuro-oncologia pediatrica.«Heal in inglese significa cura tanto del corpo quanto dell’anima- spiega Simone De Biase- La nostra speranza dunque è riposta nella ricerca di una cura del corpo che, tuttavia, non sarebbe possibile se nel percorso di guarigione non si considera la persona, il bambino, nel suo insieme indissolubile di corpo e anima». Simone prosegue: «Mia figlia ha lottato due anni contro la malattia vivendo, giorno dopo giorno, tra vittorie e sconfitte supportata dal personale del dipartimento in Neuro-oncologia dell’Ospedale Pediatrico Bambino Gesù, il cui staff è costituito da medici di primo piano nella ricerca neuro-oncologica. Professionisti dal cuore d’oro sempre pronti ad aiutare i loro piccoli pazienti: un sabato, per esempio, avevo appena riportato Gaia a casa dopo una risonanza magnetica con risultato positivo eppure sentivo che qualcosa non andava e di dover fare ulteriori controlli.Così ho chiamato i dottori che si occupavano di mia figlia dicendo che quella sera sarei tornato a Roma in pronto soccorso: seppure non fossero in servizio lì trovai tutti lì ad attendermi. La loro dedizione e umanità mi ha spinto a fondare questa associazione per sostenere la ricerca ed i giovani scienziati: sono convinto che i tumori si sconfiggono con la conoscenza». Ci sono molti modi per sostenere l’operato dell’associazione, uno di questi è acquistare l’uovo di Pasqua solidale dedicato ai bambini: «Vogliamo trasmettere un messaggio positivo- prosegue Simone De Biase- Le uova sono state realizzate per i bambini secondo il nostro stile: ovvero con dei disegni che formano un percorso pieno di speranza come quella con cui finanziamo la ricerca».Heal Onlus vede tra i suoi testimonial anche Elena Santarelli, Bobo Vieri ed Enrico Brignano che ne promuovono le attività su tutto il territorio nazionale. L’obiettivo dell’associazione sarà quello di continuare la ricerca fondi per aiutare medici e giovani ricercatori a lavorare nel migliore dei modi per dare la speranza di un futuro migliore a tanti piccoli pazienti e alle loro famiglie.

Simone De Biase is a father who never lost hope even when his little Gaia fell ill with a rare form of cancer that made her close her eyes forever on Christmas Eve 2015. Since that day, together with his family, he has not surrendered to pain but has tried to give new hope to other children affected by brain tumors and their parents by founding Heal Onlus to support doctors, nurses, and biologists who daily work in favor of care and research in the field of pediatric neuro-oncology.

«Heal means taking care of both body and soul – explains Simone De Biase- Our hope is therefore placed in the search for a cure for the body which, however, would not be possible if the person, the child, as a whole is indissoluble of body and soul, is not considered in the path of healing».

Simone continues: «My daughter has fought two years against the disease, living, day after day, between victories and defeats supported by the staff of the Neuro-oncology department of the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital, whose staff consists of leading doctors in the neuro-oncological research. Professionals always ready to help their little patients: one Saturday, for example, I had just brought Gaia home after an MRI with a positive result and yet I felt that something was wrong and that I had to do further checks. So I called the doctors who took care of my daughter, saying that that evening I would return to Rome to the emergency room: even though they weren’t on duty, I found everyone there waiting for me. Their dedication and humanity led me to found this association to support research and young scientists: I am convinced that tumors are defeated with knowledge». There are many ways to support the work of the association, one of these is to buy the solidarity Easter egg dedicated to children: «We want to convey a positive message – continues Simone De Biase – The eggs have been made for children according to our style: that is with drawings that form a path full of hope like the one with which we finance research». A Natale con i tuoi a Pasqua con Sarabanda

Aprile il mese del dolce dormire e io vorrei dormire una settimana intera, ma ahimè non mi sarà possibile: quest’anno Aprile porta la Pasqua. Noi abbiamo deciso di andare in Toscana e domenica andremo a mangiare sulle colline di Firenze! Adoriamo la Toscana ed io amo in particolar modo Firenze, che spesso mi ospita in occasione del Pitti: non riesco mai a godermela come vorrei, ma conto di riuscirci con la mia famiglia durante il prossimo week end lungo. Ginevra è già tutta eccitata e felice, ovviamente dopo essersi assicurata che a Pasqua avrà il suo uovo di Frozen! Non so voi, ma faccio molta fatica a trovare tutto ciò che riguarda Frozen o le Winx (e come fanno, questi personaggi, ad avere tutto questo potere sulle bambine, mi piacerebbe capirlo… ). Il suo secondo pensiero è stato che cosa dovesse indossare per il pranzo di Pasqua. Allora la sua mamma, super previdente, aveva già pensato di acquistare sul sito Sarabanda il suo total look: ovviamente non era cosi’ scontato che le piacesse, anzi, ma Sarabanda ha un gran potere in questo … meno male! Ho scelto per lei una giacca in eco pelle nera, una t-shirt in cotone a fiori rossi e blu e una gonna plissè blu. La mia Ginny è molto soddisfatta! Seguiteci in Toscana che vi portiamo a vedere dei posti bellissimi… a presto.

April, the month of sweet sleep and I would sleep a whole week, but unfortunately I will not be possible: April this year brings Easter. We decided to go to Tuscany and Sunday will eat on the hills of Florence! We love Tuscany and I love especially Florence, that often has me on the occasion of Pitti: I can never enjoy it as I would like, but we hope to succeed with my family during the coming long weekend. Ginevra is already all excited and happy, of course, after assuring itself that at Easter, will have its Frozen egg! I don’t know about you, but I find very hard to find anything related Frozen or Winx (and as they do, these characters, to have all this power on girls, I’d figure it out …) His second thought was what he should wear for Easter dinner. Then his mom, super-sighted, she had already thought of buying on the site Sarabanda, her total look: of course it was not so ‘obvious that she liked, indeed, but Sarabanda has a great power in this……Thank god! I chose for her a faux black leather jacket, a t-shirt in cotton with red and blue flowers and a blue pleated skirt. My Ginny is delighted! Maria Claudia : gli orecchini in Madreperla che ci donano purezza

La primavera è sicuramente un momento TOP per tantissimi motivi, uno tra tutti per l’abbigliamento, perché mentre la natura si veste nuovamente di fiori, la temperatura si addolcisce e le giornate si allungano, noi automaticamente mutiamo il guardaroba! Sarà che adoro osservare la natura e come i suoi cambiamenti condizionino le persone, che forse riesco ancora a far caso ai dettagli e alle piccole cose che emozionano! Noi donne, diciamoci la verità, amiamo questa stagione perché finalmente possiamo sfoggiare un abbigliamento più libero, ma per quanto sia importante ciò che indossiamo, sappiamo anche che è sempre il particolare a renderci uniche. Adesso vi racconto un aneddoto assai personale: Nicola mi ha ripreso più volte perché non indosso mai o quasi, orecchini e collane. Ed eccoci qui a celebrare un’altra Pasqua insieme. Il mio sito è aperto dall’ ottobre del 2013 quindi se non erro questa è la terza …sì dai, se la matematica non è un’opinione, ma vi assicuro che per gente come me potrebbe esserlo ☺ Questo è un post breve, solo per augurarvi Buona Pasqua. Per quanto decida di scrivervi poche righe, il mio pensiero va a tutto ciò che sta accadendo nel mondo. Va a tutti i bambini e alle persone vittime delle ingiustizie degli estremisti che hanno menti talmente manovrate da chi sa chi, e da chi sa cosa, che non sanno nemmeno cosa stanno facendo. Il mio pensiero va a tutte quelle persone che stanno scappando dalla loro terra per cercare un mondo migliore, vi auguro di trovarlo. A tutte le persone straziate perché i propri cari sono state vittime di tutti gli attentati accaduti nel nostro piccolo pianeta. Il mio pensiero va a tutte quelle persone che stanno soffrendo o combattendo contro una malattia. Il mio pensiero va a chi non ha cibo, a chi fa parte degli ultimi che ultimi non sono nel mondo. Non so voi, ma io ci penso spesso. Un augurio caloroso a tutti voi che mi leggete, scrivete e volete bene. Vi auguro serenità e pace perché qualsiasi Dio voi crediate io credo sia uguale al mio. Cinema principesse HD e si ritorna a sognare / Cinema HD princesses and return to dream

Buon mercoledì amici! Come avete trascorso le vacanze Pasquali? Avete mangiato molto? Per chi di voi ci segue anche sui social, sa che noi eravamo a Pescara, dove, tempo a parte, è andato tutto molto bene e ci siamo davvero abbuffati! Ginevra mi ha detto che preferisce di gran lunga la Pasqua con tutta la sua cioccolata che il Natale… Ma si può avere una bimba di nemmeno tre anni che pensa più al cibo che ai giocattoli? Vi volevo far notare che in questi giorni c’è un appuntamento in TV ( su Sky, canale 304 Cinema Principessa HD) di cui non ci stiamo perdendo nemmeno un episodio. Non so se già lo sapete che dal 3 al 12 aprile questo canale trasmetterà i classici della Walt Disney che hanno come protagoniste le principesse: ho colto così l’occasione per far vedere i miei cartoni preferiti alla mia bimba …Probabilmente non sono troppo normale, ma ogni volta che rivedo La bella Addormentata del bosco, La Sirenetta, Cenerentola o Biancaneve e i sette nani, mi emoziono tantissimo. Sì, piango davvero, forse perché mi ricordano la mia bellissima infanzia? Quel bellissimo periodo in cui mi sentivo davvero una principessa? Capita anche a voi ogni tanto di voler tornare bambini e chiamare la vostra mamma, magari frignando anche? ( A me capita ogni tanto!). Oggi vedere Ginevra che balla, canta e mi dice che si sente come Belle di Bella e la Bestia, mi fa emozionare! Non voglio fare una critica ai cartoni di oggi, anche perché non sono una mamma che li vieta, (dopotutto i cartoni animati sono parte della mia storia e ringrazio mia madre perché me li ha sempre fatti guardare!) ma di fatto quelli di un tempo ci insegnavano dei valori, soprattutto quelli della Walt Disney: l’importanza di sognare e di credere nell’amore erano sempre presenti. A mia figlia cerco di far guardare i cartoni animati interattivi con i quali può imparare a contare, a ragionare e a parlare in inglese, ma credo siano lontani anni luce dai nostri Grandi Classici. Questa settimana daranno in prima visione Maleficent (film con protagonista Angelina Jolie) , altro non è che un rifacimento de La Bella Addormentata. E voi che ne pensate? Non è forse un bel regalo quello che ci sta facendo SKY? La mia favola preferita è proprio quella di Aurora … mi sono sempre sentita un po’ Bella e Addormentata (hi hi hi hi) ma ho amato tantissimo anche la Sirenetta ( so ancora tutte le canzoni a memoria ). E la vostra ?? Se i sogni son desideri, come diceva Cenerentola perché non ricordarlo ancora, tornare bambini e far conoscere ai nostri figli i nostri cartoni?Farà bene a tutti! Grazie Sky… io proseguo con la visione e con i miei pianti …

P.S Ginevra mi ha chiesto: “Mamma pechè piangi?. Perché sono felice . E lei di tutta risposta mi ha detto: “Mamma quando si è felici si ride!”. I bambini hanno sempre ragione… Buona giornata amici!

Happy Wednesday my friends! How did your Easter break go? Did you eat a lot? If you follow us on the media you probably already know that we went to Pescara for the Holidays and besides the weather, it went great! We sure did eat a lot! Ginevra told me that she much prefers Easter, with all the chocolate eggs, than Christmas…really? How can a three year old girl prefer food over presents? But there’s also another thing we have been focusing on: on channel 304 of Sky,Princess Cinema HD, from April 3^rd through the 12^th they will be showing all of the Walt Disney classics, of course with princesses as main characters! So during these last days we have been spending a lot of time watching Disney movies and I am making sure my little one sees all of my all-time favorites! I’m not quite sure if this is normal but every single time I watch The Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella or Snow White, no matter how many times I’ve watched them before, I always get super emotional! That’s right, I do cry by myself in front of the television when I watch these movies…I think it is due to the fact that they remind me so much of my beautiful childhood! That amazing time of my life when I really felt like a princess… do you ever feel like you would go back to being a child just to be able to call your mom crying once again? It does happen to me every once in a while! And seeing Ginevra singing and dancing like Belle from Beauty and the Beast is heartwarming! I’m not trying to be critical of the recent cartoons and I surely wouldn’t keep my daughter from watching them… cartoons have been a beautiful part of my childhood and I want to thank my mom for always letting me watch them. But, in fact, the older movies used to teach us the values, such as the importance of being a dreamer and believing in love, which were always present in Walt Disney’s movies. For my daughter I mostly like to choose interactive cartoons that can teach her how to count, think or speak in English but they’re nowhere near the Old Classics. This week they will be broadcasting Maleficient (with Angelina Jolie), which is a beautiful remaking of the Sleeping Beauty. What do you say? Don’t you think this is a great idea? My all-time favorite fairytale princess has always been Aurora, maybe because I was always a Sleeping Beauty! But I have also loved the Little Mermaid a lot: I still remember all the songs by heart! What’s your favorite one? If dreams are wishes, like Cinderella would say, then getting our children to know these movies will always be a good thing! Thank you Sky… I will be going on with the vision, and the tears…

Ginevra asked me: “Why are you crying mom?” I told her that I was crying because I was happy…and her immediate answer was: “Mom, when you’re happy you laugh!” …well, I guess kids are always right! Have a good day my friends…

Buon mercoledì! Oggi proseguo nel parlarvi del mondo bimbi e più specificatamente vi voglio aprire l’armadio di Ginevra. Immaginate: tra cose prestate (da cugini, amici e parenti vari), regalate e ciò che le compro io, possiede un armadio da far invidia alle fashion bloggers più richieste. Siamo amanti del fashion e dell’abbigliamento, che ci dobbiamo fare?

Personalmente adoro vestirla con quello stile sporty chic che va tanto di moda ora; decisamente non amo ( così come odiavo tanto da bambina) il genere confetto pasquale, avete presente? Sì, quel genere di abitini modello cerimonia che se si sporcano e stropicciano solo a guardarli, tanto che vedi le mamme correre in chiesa a confessarsi per tutte le brutte parole che vengono loro in mente! Ho reso l’idea?? Ecco, per lei scelgo un abbigliamento facile&comodo. Per forza di cose la cambio ogni giorno anche perché viviamo fortunatamente in una zona verde (come vicini di casa abbiamo la famiglia del Mulino Bianco e quelli della Kinder Cereali, per intenderci) e le sue ginocchia lo dimostrano chiaramente, tanto che ormai la signora che lavora al supermercato mi tiene da parte i buoni sconto sugli sciogli macchia: ne compro a kg e devo farle pena … tra l’altro se non si tratta di verde erba, è comunque tutto il resto della gamma colori che si rovescia addosso all’asilo nido . Cosa devo fare? E’ una bimba ed io non rientro nella tipologia mamma bon ton che educano i loro figli per andare alle cene stile Galateo i loro bimbi di solo tre anni! I bimbi devono godersi la loro età…. Ultimamente le ho acquistato: tuta ginnica in jersey con tanto di borchie ultra fashion e un abitino blu; il gusto è leggermente elegante, ma niente a che vedere con il confettino pasquale di cui sopra! Tanto d’avere qualcosa se dobbiamo andare in qualche posticino carino o a cena fuori . Ho optato questa volta per Parah kids e devo dirvi che per qualità e prezzi sono stata molto soddisfatta! Un abbraccio forte …

Happy Wednesday…today we will keep talking about children’s world and, more specifically, I would like to open Ginevra’s closet for you and show you what’s inside. As you can imagine adding up borrowed things, things that have been given to her, gifts and everything that I buy for her, even the most famous fashion bloggers would be jealous of her collection of clothes. What can we do, we love clothes! I personally like to dress her with a sporty chic style, which is very fashionable right now, because I’m not a fan of those little girls who look like a Easter egg (and I honestly hated that as a child). Yes, those little girls who are constantly dressed up like they were about to go to a ceremony and if they get even just a little bit dirty their moms freak out, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about! I try to avoid that, I like her to be dresses comfortably. Of course I have to change her clothes every day because we live by a green area (our neighbors are the Kinder family) and her pants are normally covered in so many grass stains that the lady from the grocery store has become my official supplier of coupons for clothes detergent as I buy tons of it! And if it’s not grass it is the whole crayon and markers box that she drops on herself at school. What am I supposed to do? She is just a child and I refuse to be one of those mothers who raise their kids to be a perfect little person that by the age of three could attend gala dinner with no problems! I think children must enjoy being children…that is why for my last purchase I bought a jersey jumpsuit with ultra-fashion studs and a cute little blue dress that is very elegant but does not look like a “walking bow”…and it is perfect if we have to go somewhere nice so Ginevra can be all dressy too! My choice this time is branded Parah Kids and I have to say that I am fully satisfied by the quality/price ratio! A big hug…
