Il Natale è alle porte. È vero? È sì, è proprio vero! Il tempo vola e da quando sono mamma ancora di più! Ma voi come fate a organizzarvi per fare tutto? Perché io alle volte mi perdo e faccio fatica a ritrovarmi! Per fortuna che viviamo nell’ERA di internet dove per ogni richiesta trovi la risposta e la soluzione giusta! L’altro giorno eravamo al cinema, ve l’ho raccontato sui miei canali social … e Ginevra ovviamente per quelle occasioni mi richiede poc-corn, cioccolatini, ect… e come dirle di no? I suoi cioccolatini preferiti sono le M&M’s……è proprio figlia mia! Sì perché io da adolescente non mangiavo altro, testimoni i miei compagni delle Alpi Svizzere di quei tempi. In quell’occasione mentre stava sgranocchiando i suoi cioccolatini, le è venuta l’idea di regalare per Natale delle confezioni di M&M’s ai suoi più cari amici. Le ho risposto che era una buona idea, ma che per il Natale, forse non erano i cioccolatini più adatti. Allora io cos’ ho fatto il giorno seguente, nell’ERA digitale in cui vivo? Sono andata a sbirciare su internet ed ho trovato un mondo che non conoscevo. Infatti, ho scoperto che il brand My M&M’s ha molte idee regalo di natale! In realtà a dirla tutta hanno pensato anche ai regali per i compleanni, a quelli aziendali e persino per gli invitati ad un matrimonio . Insomma, ero proprio impreparata a tutto questo! Incuriosita sono andata a sbirciare nel sito di My M&M’s e sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita dal fatto che hanno tre tipi di sezioni: quella dedicata ai Prodotti per Natale, quella per le decorazioni e quella per gli Articoli sul Natale. Nel primo si possono trovare vari e molteplici cofanetti, buste e sacchetti creati a doc per avere dei regali buonissimi. Nella parte Idee per le Decorazioni offrono delle proposte veramente carine per gli addobbi che vanno dai classici per decorare l’albero, a quelli per la casa, fino alla proposta per imbandire la tavola. Mentre negli Articoli sul Natale si possono trovare biglietti, cartoline con o senza frasi già scritte. Il tutto gira comunque intorno ai famosissimi confetti , che possono essere personalizzati per dare un valore aggiunto a chi li riceve ! Quindi, un segnaposto nominale , un biglietto di auguri che esprima i nostri più sentiti sentimenti può essere un gesto semplice , ma che non ha valore! Insomma, ho scoperto un mondo totalmente nuovo! Se come me vivete il Natale come un vero e proprio stato d’animo e se per caso ve lo dimenticate e ci sono i figli a ricordarvelo, allora My M&M’s vi può dare un vero aiuto per la creazione di un Natale divertente e originale. Ginevra potrà esaudire il suo desiderio e regalare ai suoi amici più cari e veri, delle buone confezioni natalizie di M&M’s, a presto…

Christmas is coming. It’s true? Yes, it’s true! Time flies and since I’m mum even more! But how do you organize yourself to do everything? Actually, to be honest, they also thought about giving birthdays, corporate gifts and even wedding guests. In short, I was really unprepared for all this! Intrigued I went to peek at the My M & M’s site and I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they have three types of sections: one dedicated to the Products for Christmas, the one for the decorations and the one for the Articles on Christmas.

A Natale puoi…

L’altro giorno Ginny era in camera sua a giocare e nel mentre cantava: ” A Natale puoi, fare tutto quello che…..” Sono entrata nella sua stanza ed ho iniziato a canticchiare la stessa strofa. Alla fine ci siamo ritrovate a cantare entrambe la stessa canzone a squarciagola (due matte insomma )… Poi lei si è fermata, mi ha guardata un po’ insospettita e mi ha chiesto: Mamma come fai a conoscere questa canzone ? Io l’ho imparata a scuola “. Mi sono messa a ridere e in un attimo ho ripensato ai miei 16 anni e a quando quella famosa pubblicità era entrata nelle case di tutti noi: un jingle pubblicitario destinato a conquistare in poco tempo chiunque! Anche nella mia classe, allora ero in terza superiore, era diventata la canzone natalizia per eccellenza. In un secondo ho rivissuto quel Natale: abitavo ancora con i miei genitori e fratelli e come d’abitudine, ci riunivamo tutti insieme a casa mia , parenti e amici a festeggiare la vigilia. Nel 1996 erano già nate le mie nipotine che allora erano ancora tutte e tre piccolissime. Sembra ieri e invece sono passati più di vent’anni e io non so nemmeno quanta nostalgia porto ancora nel cuore! Il Natale è il momento dell’anno in cui mi manca di più mio padre che ci ha lasciati proprio di quel magico periodo. Durante l’anno riesco anche a “fingere” di stare bene, ma a Natale è veramente difficile , mi si attacca una nostalgia fortissima allo stomaco ! La verità è che se ho vissuto tanti Natali felici e sereni è stato proprio grazie a lui che provava un amore incredibile verso questa festa ! Mio padre era un uomo forte e coraggioso, ma aveva il cuore e l’ingenuità di un bambino. Mi piace pensare che sia da qualche parte, forse nascosto dietro a qualche angolo di casa che ci guarda e sorride. Dicono che a Natale puoi fare tutto quello che non puoi fare mai e allora io sogno di averlo ancora qui con noi…. Non ho detto nulla a Ginevra : l’ho abbracciata e in orecchio le ho sussurrato: “Questa canzone me l’hai insegnata tu, continua a cantarla”. Lei mi ha sorriso e fatto un cenno con la testa. Tanti auguri di Natale a tutti voi che ogni giorno mi leggete da più parti del mondo e che ormai fate parte della famiglia. Perché se è vero che vi scrivo affrontando argomenti diversi e riuscendo a intrattenervi, è anche vero che spesso voi siete lettori di un blog che uso spesso come un diario che a volte mi permette di sfogare emozioni ed alleggerire il cuore! Ecco che cosa vi auguro per questo Natale: di trovare il coraggio di parlare di ciò che tenete dentro e di avere il cuore più leggero! Un abbraccio.

In a second I relived that Christmas: I still lived with my parents and brothers and as usual, we all gathered together at my house, relatives and friends to celebrate the eve. It seems like yesterday and instead it’s been more than twenty years and I do not even know how much nostalgia I still carry in my heart!Christmas is the time of the year when I miss my father, who unfortunately passed away in June 9 years ago …During the year I can also “pretend” to feel good, but at Christmas it’s really difficult, I get a strong nostalgia for my stomach.The truth is that if I lived many happy and serene Christmases it was thanks to him, who felt an incredible love for this party.My father was a strong and courageous man, but he had the heart and ingenuity of a child. Amo il Natale e amo la dolcezza dei pensieri che fluiscono nella mia testa. Amo addolcire la mia casa di colori e addobbi natalizi e da quando c’è mia figlia, tutto si è magicamente amplificato. Amo ascoltare la calda atmosfera che si crea e so che in qualche modo le persone intorno a me possono percepire lo stesso calore. Quando mi hanno chiesto di partecipare al progetto Folletto #PensaPulito mi sono chiesta cosa volesse dire per me pensare pulito. La risposta? È avere il tempo per riflettere e per pensare all’ ambiente in cui viviamo. Da anni vi scrivo di quanto io sia attenta all’ ambiente, ecco perché, quando è nata mia figlia il mio compagno ed io abbiamo fatto una scelta particolare che a prima vista non è stata capita soprattutto dalle persone a noi care. Abbiamo scelto di andare a vivere in campagna, fuori dallo smog e lontano dallo stress della vita cittadina. Credo fortemente che il problema dell’inquinamento atmosferico sia sempre stato poco considerato! Quando ho saputo di aspettare una bambina non ho avuto troppi dubbi. Certo, il papà ed io abbiamo avuto la fortuna di poter scegliere ma volevamo che Ginevra crescesse in un paese fuori dalla città ovvio, la città ha le sue comodità, è pratica, è veloce, ma crescere in mezzo alla natura, dove l’aria è sicuramente più buona e il cielo più limpido, è una scelta che potrei rifare cento volte per il suo bene. Nella zona in cui viviamo ci sono molti piccoli paesi vicini uno all’ altro e tutti immersi nel verde, i bambini vanno a scuola in bicicletta grazie alle piste ciclabili e ogni quartiere ha un suo parco giochi. Non serve l’auto per forza: in pochi attimi si arriva dal panettiere, dal fruttivendolo e poi tutti si conoscono.Tra i valori che vorrei riuscire a trasmettere alla mia bambina sicuramente c’è quello di aiutare a tenere più pulito il nostro pianeta, in cui siamo solo ospiti! Io ho iniziato andando a vivere in campagna.

I love Christmas and I love the sweetness of the thoughts that flow in my head. I love listening to the warm atmosphere that is created and I know that somehow people around me can feel the same warmth. When they asked me to participate in the project Folletto #PensaPulito, I asked myself what it meant for me to think clean. The answer? It is time to reflect and think about the environment in which we live. For years I wrote about how much I pay attention to the environment, that’s why, when my daughter was born, my partner and I made a particular choice that at first sight was not understood above all by the people we care about. We have chosen to go and live in the countryside, out of the smog and far from the stress of city life. I firmly believe that the problem of air pollution has always been considered little! When I learned to wait for a child, I did not have much doubt. Of course, my father and I were lucky enough to be able to choose, but we wanted Geneva to grow up in a country outside the obvious city, the city has its services, it’s practical, it’s fast, but it grows in the middle of nature, where the air is certainly better and the sky clearer, it is a choice that I could redo a hundred times for his good. In the area where we live there are many small villages close to each other and all surrounded by greenery, the children go to school by bike thanks to the cycle paths and each neighborhood has its own playground. You do not need the machine by force: in a few moments you come from the baker, the greengrocer and then everyone knows each other. Among the values that I would like to transmit to my child, there is certainly that of helping to keep our planet cleaner, in which we are only guests! I started going to live in the countryside.

Dopo il Natale arriva il giorno della copertina e del divano …

E’ passato il Natale ? Wow come vola il tempo, no ? Insomma tanta ansia e poi puff ! In un attimo siamo a Santo Stefano, eh sì !ora ci si rilassa, finalmente ! Ma raccontatemi un po’: come avete passato questi giorni ? Mi sembra di vedervi stanchi, ma felici…. Avete mangiato come se non ci fosse un domani ? Noi decisamente sì !

Siete stati tutti più buoni? Io ho cercato di esserlo, senza fingere troppo …. Ma oggi non ce n’è ! Oggi non so voi, ma starò tutto il giorno a casa a rilassarmi in pigiama ! Avete presente il mood ? Divano, coperta e tisana calda che ti aiuta a digerire e un bel film sul Natale ? Una delle cose che da bambina adoravo di più in questo periodo, era restare a casa al calduccio sotto una coperta e guardarmi un film Natalizio . C’erano le favole romantiche, i classici in bianco e nero e poi i cartoni animati della Disney con quel lieto fine che ancor oggi riuscirebbe a farci sorridere. E col tempo i film sul Natale sono diventati dei veri e propri classici, in grado di riempirci di spirito natalizio, nonostante tutto. Quelli che si amano o si odiano. Quelli che ognuno ha il suo preferito. Quelli da vedere con la famiglia sul divano, quelli tramandati da generazioni, quelli che tanto sappiamo a memoria, quelli che però li rivediamo lo stesso, perchè ci fanno bene. I miei preferiti in assoluto sono Love Actually, Miracolo sulla 34esima strada, A Christmas Carol, ma come posso dimenticarmi di Mamma ho perso l’aereo ? Oppure di Serendipity ?….E i vostri quali sono? Non so forse voi sarete meno pigri di me, ma io oggi sarò solo che pigra ! Poi domani ci penserò … Un abbraccio e buon Natale a chi ancora non l’ho fatto..

Per Natale un albero personalizzato e un oufit da festa

Ciao a tutti, siamo pronti per la settimana più frenetica dell’anno? Pranzi, cene, famiglia e amici? Ma sì dai, che alla fine è molto divertente …L’albero di Natale noi quest’anno lo abbiamo fatto con largo anticipo:

Ginevra era da metà novembre che mi chiedeva di farlo e allora i primissimi giorni di dicembre l’ho accontentata!! Quello che stiamo “costruendo” anno per anno è proprio un albero di Natale super personalizzato! In che senso?
Nel senso che lo stiamo addobbando con tutti i lavoretti che Ginevra ha fatto all’ asilo e a lei questa cosa piace da impazzire perché si sente ultra importante. Ovviamente ha voluto scegliere anche delle palline…. indovinate quali? Ovviamente quelle della principessa più famosa del pianeta, con i capelli color oro! Ma sì, proprio lei la regina dei ghiacci che ha una sorella che tanto ama. Immagino abbiate già indovinato di chi sto parlando….. ma certo di Frozen! Diciamo che non avrò sicuramente un albero di Natale con un colore omogeneo , però molto personalizzato e a noi piace così! Per il giorno di Natale ho già deciso anche che cosa indosserà Ginevra! Visto che lo passeremo a casa, ho scelto per lei qualcosa di carino, ma anche comodo!Lo potete vedere proprio su di lei: è vestita infatti con un total look firmato Sarabanda, l’azienda di abbigliamento a misura di bambino.

“Più sicuri con Sam!” La nuova esperienza di edutainment firmata Mattel

Chi di noi non conosce la storica azienda californiana Mattel? Chi da piccola non ha avuto almeno una Barbie con cui passare interi pomeriggi? Da sempre questa azienda accompagna i bambini di tutto il mondo nel loro sviluppo attraverso l’attività del gioco, che per loro deve essere educativo, piacevole e divertente sia per il bambino che per il genitore. Lo scopo principale dell’azienda è fare la differenza nella vita dei bambini di tutto il mondo attraverso il gioco. Un obiettivo che Mattel porta avanti di pari passo con una ricerca costante per creare giocattoli e attività che ispirino e arricchiscano le giovani menti e le stimolino a immaginare oltre le barriere per un mondo migliore. Seguendo questa ottica Mattel Italy ha commissionato una ricerca a Doxa Kids per analizzare il tema della sicurezza nella fascia d’età della prima infanzia, ritenendo corretto che un programma simile debba partire dai bambini più piccoli e, proprio perché dedicato ai più piccoli ha sicuramente maggior effetto se veicolato attraverso un personaggio positivo, riconoscibile, sorridente ma autorevole. Emerge quindi come riferimento per questo progetto, la figura di SAM il Pompiere. Dalla ricerca è emerso che il 79% dei genitori si dichiara preoccupato per almeno una situazione di rischio in cui si potrebbe trovare il figlio. Tra le figure istituzionali, è emerso il pompiere come riferimento per trasmettere insegnamenti pratici sulla sicurezza.Prendendo spunto dai dati della ricerca, SAM il Pompiere diventa “portavoce” del progetto “Più sicuri con SAM!” che insegna la cultura della sicurezza tramite un’esperienza educativa originale e divertente, rivolta alle scuole dell’infanzia e ai primi due anni della scuola primaria. SAM il Pompiere è il protagonista del nuovo progetto di edutainment promosso da Mattel che vuole coinvolgere attivamente i bambini nella conquista delle principali regole di prevenzione dei rischi nelle attività quotidiane. Rivolto a bambini, insegnanti e famiglie il percorso di “Più sicuri con SAM!” si articola in giochi interattivi digitali per i piccoli, in attività ludico-esperienziali guidate a scuola, e in altre attività da condividere a casa con i genitori. Sarà disponibile a partire da Gennaio 2017 e completamente gratuito.“Più sicuri con SAM!” si sviluppa sulla piattaforma web dedicata agli insegnanti Scuola Channel con un ricco menù di strumenti ludico-educativi, caratterizzati da livelli di difficoltà differenziati per bambini di 3-5 anni e 6-7 anni, guide insegnanti, guide genitori, un decalogo sulle regole di prevenzione. Ciao cari amici, io sto tornando nuovamente da Milano e vi sto scrivendo proprio dal treno! Oggi è un gran giorno per tutti alla Super Hero High School! Wonder Woman ha finalmente fatto il suo ingresso al campus ed è pronta a lasciare il segno, anche se ha ancora molto da imparare.

Buon lunedì cari lettori ! Come stanno andando le compere natalizie? In questo periodo c’è tantissima gente in giro e muoversi, soprattutto se si ha figli piccoli, può diventare impegnativo, ma infondo anche questo è il bello del Natale… Oggi riprendo un argomento che con voi avevo già fatto qualche tempo fa: quello dei super eroi, ve lo ricordate ? Però ora vi voglio parlare dei supereroi tutti al femminile. Qual’ era il vostro preferito ?

Quello mio e di Ginevra è sicuramente Wonder Woman, come già vi accennavo nel post precedente esiste un canale youtube dove potete gustarvi i cartoni animati dei vostri super eroi e ora anche delle vostre eroine preferite. Nel sito ufficiale, il Dc Super Hero Girls invece, vi si dà la possibilità di scaricare tantissime cose divertenti; volete degli esempi ? Insieme alle vostre bambine, per esempio potete compilare i "> quiz:

Buongiorno love people! Come state? Come sono andate le vostre vacanze? Noi siamo appena tornati dall’ Alta Badia dove abbiamo passato una settimana nell’ incantevole Corvara…., mentre la settimana di Natale l’abbiamo passata a casa. Che cosa abbiamo fatto nella settimana di Natale? Io e Ginevra abbiamo trascorso il nostro tempo a giocare con la poca neve scesa e a fare lunghe passeggiate all’aria aperta … e nei pomeriggi, durante le sue ore di sonno sono anche riuscita a prendermi cura di me stessa a casa mia, giusto per prepararmi alla vacanza di quest’ultima settimana. Avete presente cosa significa per una mamma prendersi cura di sè? Tipo andare da colei che una volta era anche la nostra psicologa oltre che l’amica fidata che ci sistemava corpo, viso e mani o da colei che comunemente chiamiamo estetista?

Ok, Facciamo velocemente una riflessione.

1. Avere tempo libero dal proprio lavoro. (Rido … “tempo” e “Libero”, sostantivo e aggettivo che a casa mia non vanno mai insieme!)

2. Provare a chiedere ad una nonna disponibile se può tenerti la pupa. Tua madre non può mai nei veri momenti di bisogno e ti tocca chiederlo alla suocera che ti guarda e ti risponde che sei a casa dal lavoro. Capisci tutto e chiami al volo la baby sitter, ma pure lei è impegnata, forse in vacanza con il fidanzato nuovo di zecca ( momenti sognati da te già dimenticati!). All’ultimo secondo tua sorella, (zia, amica del cuore, vicina di casa fidata) ti dice: ” Vai dove vuoi un paio d’ore, te la tengo io! ( Lo consideri Il miracolo di Natale!)

3. Prendere appuntamento dalla tua estetista: siccome ti sei presa all’ ultimo secondo, dopo averti chiesto (e dopo averti fatto notare con una vena sottilissima di ironia) se sei ancora viva ti dirà che non ha posto e tu pensi che un tempo te lo avrebbe trovato ad ogni costo un posto, ma lei non è più l’amica fidata e psicologa alla quale lasciavi una media di 30 euro alla settimana. Quindi devi fare altre 10 chiamate e forse troverai quella che sbuffando ti risponderà: “Mi si è liberato un posto proprio ora, puoi venire prima possibile?”.

4. Corri a vestirti alla velocità della luce, tua sorella (zia, amica del cuore, vicina di casa fidata) arriva, non le dici nemmeno ciao e sei già in auto mentre la piccola urla perché non vuole che tu te ne vada… Stai correndo verso quel centro estetico che è logicamente il più caro della città, perché solo quello poteva avere un posto disponibile … Non appena varcata la soglia, inizi a respirare, ma ti senti stranita perché donne bellissime, abitue del centro, ti guardano come se fossi un marziano e in fondo un po’ marziano lo sei (inizi a chiederti quando è stata l’ultima volta che ti sei pettinata o messa un po’ di trucco e ricordi che le tue docce sono tutte delle toccate e fuga con tuo figlio che ti batte da dietro il vetro)

Ecco, adesso potete tirarmi fuori la storia che le donne dovrebbero prendersi cura di se stesse, perché quando hanno dei figli si lasciano andare, non sono più come prima eccetera eccetera…. ma io sono convinta che una mamma quando ha un figlio piccolo faccia veramente fatica a guardarsi persino allo specchio e quindi, siccome in realtà un po’ di ragione l’avete, ho deciso che il centro benessere me lo faccio in casa mia. Come? Mi sono comprata il nuovo VisaCare della Philips e vi posso assicurare che lo stress (vedi punti 1, 2, 3, 4) me li sono lasciati tutti alle spalle… Il VisaCare è perfetto sia per le pelli giovani come le mie, perché riattiva la micro circolazione e quindi allontana le prime rughe e ottimo per le pelli mature perché le rende più sode. Good morning love people! How have you been? And how did your Christmas holidays go? We just got back from Alta Badia where we spent a week in the beautiful city of Corvara… As for the Christmas week, we just stayed home. What did we do during the Christmas week? Well, Ginevra and I spent most of our time playing in the little bit of snow that fell in our town and going for long walks in the open air… Also, during those days, in the afternoon while Ginevra was taking a nap, I also made time to take care of myself at the house, so that I could be all ready for the upcoming vacation! Do you know what it means for a mom to be able to take care of herself? Things like going to the beauty salon and see that one special friend how once used to look after our body, face and hands who’s normally called a beautician?

Ok, let’s make a quick reflection.

1. Find some free time outside of work (which makes me smile as the words “time” and “free” don’t usually go together for me!).

2. Ask an available grandmother to look after our child. That’s when your mom obviously has prior commitments and you have to ask your mother-in-law, which immediately points out that you are not working so you have to find another solution. But the babysitter is busy too, possibly on vacation with her brand new boyfriend (moments that you can only live in your dreams now and are long gone for you!). But then, at the last second, your amazing sister (aunt, best friend and trusty neighbor) tells you: “go ahead and take some time for yourself, I’ll take care of the baby for a couple of hours!”. Christmas Miracles do happen!

3. Make an appointment at your favorite beauty salon where you haven’t been in ages, which, since you called at the last second, is not going to have any availability (and you think to yourself that a few years ago they would have found a spot for you no matter what!). But since you no longer go there, for a total cost of at least 30 Euro a week, you need to make 10 more phone calls until you finally find an available beautician who’s going to give you an appointment snorting!.

4. So you get ready as fast as you can, your sister (aunt, best friend and trusty neighbor) gets there but you don’t even have time to say hi and you are already in your car, as your child is screaming because they don’t want you to leave. You are finally on your way to the salon, which obviously is the most expensive in the city, and as you walk in you feel extremely uncomfortable because some beautiful women who go there every day, look at you like you were a Martian, and, in the end, maybe you really are. Their looks make you wonder when was the last time you combed your hair or did your makeup and you realize that your showers are all super quick, with your child yelling and pounding on the glass door.

Ok, now you can tell me that women should take better care of themselves and that they shouldn’t stop doing that just because they have children… but I honestly think that for a woman with a child it is truly difficult to make time even just for looking at herself in the mirror. So, since you are all right, I decided to create my very own home beauty salon, would you like to know how I did that? I simply bought the new VisaCare by Philips. Auguri di Buon Natale ! Wishes for Christmas

Buongiorno…. Allora pronti per il Natale? Noi lo siamo, Ginevra mi dice spesso che ha paura di Babbo Natale e che non vuole offrirgli il latte quando arriverà: “Mamma il latte è mio !”. Sapete era molto tempo che io non vivo questo clima così profondamente… ma grazie alla mia bimba e al suo entusiasmo le cose dentro di me sono tornate come un tempo, è come se avessi riscoperto la magia del Natale, mi sono domandata spesso ultimamente: “Ma quando è che noi adulti perdiamo per strada quella sensazione magica del Natale? Non dovremmo mai dimenticarci di sentirci così… di sentire questa festa così tanto cara a noi nei primi anni di vita, ma che con il tempo poi diventa crescendo un’abitudine legata solo al commercio… Ginevra mi ha fatto ricordare che c’è qualcosa di più… Questo è quello che vi auguro per questo Natale 2014, che troviate o ritroviate dentro di voi quel qualcosa in più… Il Natale forse non è solo un “prodotto” commerciale o una credenza religiosa, il Natale è un momento di riflessione…. Vi lascio con una frase che mi disse mio padre 15 anni fa, il mio papà era un uomo d’affari importante… uno di quelli che manovravano tante cose… queste le sue parole: “Nicole, tu hai una fortuna incredibile, voi tutti avete una fortuna incredibile oggi, ed è quella di potervi fermare a riflettere! Magari avessi avuto io il tempo per farlo!”. Ogni tanto penso che forse se, se lo fosse preso quel tempo per riflettere, forse lui sarebbe ancora con noi oggi…anzi ne sono convinta! Buon Natale a tutti voi cari miei lettori e alle vostre famiglie !

Good morning… so, are you all ready for Christmas? We surely are. Ginevra often tells me that she is scared of Santa Claus and that she doesn’t want to leave some milk and cookies for him: “Mom, milk is mine!”. It has been a long time since I last felt this atmosphere so deeply like I do this year…but thanks to my little girl and her enthusiasm, feelings have returned inside me like when I was a child. It’s like I found the magic of Christmas again. Lately I have been wondering a lot when exactly happens that adults loose the Christmas magic along the way? We should never forget to feel like this…to feel this celebration of which we are so fond in the first years of our life but that becomes nothing but a commercial habit over the years… Ginevra reminded me that there’s actually more than that…and this is what I wish to all of you for this Christmas 2014: I wish you to find that little more inside of you. Perhaps Christmas is not just a commercial matter or a religious practice: Christmas is a moment of reflection. I want to share with you some words my dad told me 15 years ago. My dad was an important business man, one of those men who handle a lot of stuff. Here is what he said to me: “Nicole, you are incredibly lucky, all of you are incredibly lucky nowadays: you have the luck to be able to stop and think! I wish I had time to do so!”. Every now and then I think that maybe, if he actually made time to think, he could still be with us now…in fact, I know so! Merry Christmas to all of you my dear reads and to all of your families
