Ok, Facciamo velocemente una riflessione.

1. Avere tempo libero dal proprio lavoro. (Rido … “tempo” e “Libero”, sostantivo e aggettivo che a casa mia non vanno mai insieme!)

2. Provare a  chiedere ad una nonna disponibile se può tenerti la pupa. Tua madre non può mai nei veri momenti di bisogno e ti tocca chiederlo alla suocera che ti guarda e ti risponde che sei a casa dal lavoro. Capisci tutto e chiami al volo la baby sitter, ma pure lei è impegnata, forse in vacanza con il fidanzato nuovo di zecca ( momenti sognati da te già dimenticati!). All’ultimo secondo tua sorella, (zia, amica del cuore, vicina di casa fidata) ti dice: ” Vai dove vuoi un paio d’ore, te la tengo io! ( Lo consideri Il miracolo di Natale!)

3. Prendere appuntamento dalla tua estetista: siccome ti sei presa all’ ultimo secondo,  dopo averti chiesto (e dopo averti fatto notare con una vena sottilissima di ironia)  se sei ancora viva ti dirà che non ha posto e tu pensi che un tempo te lo avrebbe trovato ad ogni costo un posto, ma lei non è più l’amica fidata e psicologa alla quale  lasciavi una media di 30 euro alla settimana. Quindi devi fare altre 10 chiamate e forse troverai quella che sbuffando ti risponderà: “Mi si è liberato un posto proprio ora, puoi venire prima possibile?”.

4. Corri a vestirti alla velocità della luce, tua sorella (zia, amica del cuore, vicina di casa fidata) arriva, non le dici nemmeno ciao e sei già in auto mentre la piccola urla perché non vuole che tu te ne vada… Stai correndo  verso  quel centro estetico che è logicamente il più caro della città,  perché solo quello poteva avere un posto disponibile … Non appena varcata la soglia, inizi a respirare, ma ti senti stranita perché donne bellissime, abitue del centro,  ti guardano come se fossi un marziano e in fondo un po’ marziano lo sei (inizi a chiederti quando è stata l’ultima volta che ti sei pettinata o messa un po’ di trucco e ricordi che le tue docce sono tutte delle toccate e fuga con tuo figlio che ti batte da dietro il vetro)

Ecco,  adesso potete tirarmi fuori la storia che le donne dovrebbero prendersi cura di se stesse, perché quando hanno dei figli si lasciano andare, non sono più come prima eccetera eccetera…. ma io sono convinta che una mamma quando ha un figlio piccolo faccia veramente fatica a guardarsi persino allo specchio e quindi, siccome in realtà un po’ di ragione l’avete,  ho deciso che il centro benessere me lo faccio in casa mia. Come? Mi sono comprata il nuovo VisaCare della Philips e vi posso assicurare che lo stress (vedi punti 1, 2, 3, 4) me li sono lasciati tutti alle spalle… Il VisaCare è perfetto sia per le pelli giovani come le mie, perché riattiva la micro circolazione e quindi allontana le prime rughe e ottimo per le pelli  mature  perché le  rende più sode. Good morning love people! How have you been? And how did your Christmas holidays go? We just got back from Alta Badia where we spent a week in the beautiful city of Corvara… As for the Christmas week, we just stayed home. What did we do during the Christmas week? Well, Ginevra and I spent most of our time playing in the little bit of snow that fell in our town and going for long walks in the open air… Also, during those days, in the afternoon while Ginevra was taking a nap, I also made time to take care of myself at the house, so that I could be all ready for the upcoming vacation! Do you know what it means for a mom to be able to take care of herself? Things like going to the beauty salon and see that one special friend how once used to look after our body, face and hands who’s normally called a beautician?

Ok, let’s make a quick reflection.

1. Find some free time outside of work (which makes me smile as the words “time” and “free” don’t usually go together for me!).

2. Ask an available grandmother to look after our child. That’s when your mom obviously has prior commitments and you have to ask your mother-in-law, which immediately points out that you are not working so you have to find another solution. But the babysitter is busy too, possibly on vacation with her brand new boyfriend (moments that you can only live in your dreams now and are long gone for you!). But then, at the last second, your amazing sister (aunt, best friend and trusty neighbor) tells you: “go ahead and take some time for yourself, I’ll take care of the baby for a couple of hours!”. Christmas Miracles do happen!

3. Make an appointment at your favorite beauty salon where you haven’t been in ages, which, since you called at the last second, is not going to have any availability (and you think to yourself that a few years ago they would have found a spot for you no matter what!). But since you no longer go there, for a total cost of at least 30 Euro a week, you need to make 10 more phone calls until you finally find an available beautician who’s going to give you an appointment snorting!.

4. So you get ready as fast as you can, your sister (aunt, best friend and trusty neighbor) gets there but you don’t even have time to say hi and you are already in your car, as your child is screaming because they don’t want you to leave. You are finally on your way to the salon, which obviously is the most expensive in the city, and as you walk in you feel extremely uncomfortable because some beautiful women who go there every day, look at you like you were a Martian, and, in the end, maybe you really are. Their looks make you wonder when was the last time you combed your hair or did your makeup and you realize that your showers are all super quick, with your child yelling and pounding on the glass door.

Ok, now you can tell me that women should take better care of themselves and that they shouldn’t stop doing that just because they have children… but I honestly think that for a woman with a child it is truly difficult to make time even just for looking at herself in the mirror. So, since you are all right, I decided to create my very own home beauty salon, would you like to know how I did that? I simply bought the new VisaCare by Philips. And I can assure you that I surely avoid all the stress caused by items 1, 2, 3 and 4 listed above… the new VisaCare is perfect for a young skin like mine because it helps reactivating the microcirculation and prevents wrinkles, but it also works awesomely for older skins as it makes them firmer and gives them more tone. Goodmorning! Is it a good morning? I hope it is…and if it’s not, we’ll make it so! It’s really easy, it only takes a few positive thoughts…I have read that the days of true happiness in one person’s life are no more than 14, can you believe this? They are so few…then I tried to count my happy days and, well of course I hope not to have reached even half of my life yet, but I got to count 6 days. In the first happy memory I was 13 and it was when my dad bought me my dream bicycle, an amazing mountain bike! The second one was the year after that, when I went to Miami for the first time. Then when I was 15 when my volleyball team had won the Swiss championship. After that my mind is blank, nothing until the day I graduated from highschool and then a hug gap again, until I was 28 and I published my first book. The last one is obviously when I was 31 and Ginevra was born. So, if I had to pick out the days I was beyond happy, these would be the ones. Of course there have been other great and fun days, especially because my life has always been filled with a lot of traveling, meeting new people and a lot of laughs.

But these are the very important days, the days I keep in my heart, the days that have changed my life and when I have achieved my highest goals…what about you? Will you tell me about your happiest days? Have a good Sunday, hugs.

Buongiorno a tutti! Che farete questa sera? Da quando ho la bimba la mia vita sociale è attiva come quella di una suora di clausura e anche se Nicola ed io decidiamo di uscire qualche ora, spesso e volentieri ci portiamo fuori la piccola. Avete presente cose significa per una donna vestirsi, truccarsi e pettinarsi quando hai un cucciolo d’uomo alto meno di un metro che gira per casa e distrugge ogni cosa, se lo lasci un attimo da solo? Ecco, se siete genitori mi capirete e vi ricorderete cosa significa avere a che fare con bimbi piccoli ed imprevedibili, se non ne avete, date pure sfogo all’immaginazione. E’ una bella impresa ed allora io che faccio? Mi vesto alla velocità della luce, mentre lei è con Nicola e sta urlando perché vuole venire a vedere cosa sto facendo, mi trucco pochissimo e quando ho voglia di farmi qualche acconciatura uso il metodo “pettinarsi spettinandosi” che va benissimo per le mamme come me, ma anche per qualsiasi donna o ragazza con poco tempo a disposizione. Per prima cosa bisogna avere degli attrezzi da lavoro pratici e veloci, quindi: una spazzola, tantissime forcine di quelle piccole, un paio di elastici piccoli e se necessario, quegli elastici fini che fanno da fascetta. Quelli che, per intenderci, ci hanno rubato  i calciatori per usarli durante le loro partite. Quando si ha un arsenale del genere quello che serve ancora è uno specchio grande e la nostra fantasia. Io mi invento di tutto: treccia alta, bassa, a lato destro, a lato sinistro, cignon altissimi e con capelli tiratissimi, oppure basso, coda alta con treccia e rotolata intorno … insomma un po’ di fantasia e via! Il vero segreto, quello che ti porta ad avere un risultato finale perfetto con amici che ti chiederanno se siamo andate dal parrucchiere, sono la velocità e l’essere spettinata, non curata … Vi lascio un po’ di foto di look da cui traggo ispirazione e vi assicuro che se vi lascerete andare, capelli lunghi o corti che avete, vi sentirete un po’ parrucchiere anche voi! Good morning everyone! What are your plans for tonight? Since I had my baby girl my social life has become the same as the one of a secluded nun and even if Nicola and I decide to go out for a couple of hours, most of the times the little one comes with.Do you know what it means for a woman to get dressed, do her makeup and do he hair while a little “baby person”, not even a meter tall, is going around the house destroying everything if left alone for a few seconds? Well, if you’re a parent then you’ll definitely know what it means to deal with little and unpredictable children, and if you are not a parent, well, just let your imagination run  wild.It can be very challenging, so what do I do? I get dressed as quickly as possible while she is with Nicola and she is yelling because she wants to come see what I’m doing, I put a very little makeup on and when I feel like doing some hairstyle I use the “messy hair” strategy, which is perfect for moms like me, but also for every girl or women who don’t have much time to spend on that.Frist of all you need quick and practical tools, such as: a hairbrush, many many bobby pins, a couple of tiny hair-ties and, if needed, some of those thin elastic head bands. The ones that soccer players stole us to use them during their games.Once you’ve set up all this pile of stuff, all you need is a large mirror and your imagination. I make up so many things, high  or low braid, side braid, super high buns or low buns, high braided pony tail or even a rolled up braid … everything works, just go with whatever you like! The real secret for a great final results that will make your friends ask you if you just went to the hairstylist, is to be quick and look messy, not too trimmed… here are some photos of hairstyles from which I inspire myself. Che farete questo week-end?  Non ho ancora idee precise, ma sicuramente domenica andremo all’ inaugurazione di Emili, il negozio  aperto nel centro della mia bella Vicenza. Oggi vi racconto quanto cresce la mia Tapu, ossia Ginevra. Ha quasi due anni, non so se i vostri figli a 22 mesi parlavano già, ma mia figlia mi fa morire dal ridere. Mi sorprende ogni giorno, si ricorda tutto ciò che le dico ed è attenta ad ogni cosa. Dovrei addirittura ringraziarla perché mi fa riscoprire cose che ho sotto gli occhi da troppo tempo per dar loro l’ importanza che possiedono.  La parolina del mese è “ Eccolo!” .Vi racconto un aneddoto troppo divertente. L’altra mattina ero in bagno che stavo cercando di sistemarmi il viso, lava, metti crema ecc… lei era, come sempre, sotto di me che andava avanti indietro a fare i suoi giochini. Ad un certo punto urla: “Eccolo mamma, ohoohoho, eccolo eccolo!”. Io la guardo e non capisco e vado avanti tranquillamente a fare le mie cose, e lei ancora : “Mamma eccolo, eccolo eccolo, oooooh! Eccolo mammmaaa!”. Io la riguardo e vedo che sta osservando il tappetino del nostro bagno con una manina alla bocca, come  a dirmi che è sorpresa di qualcosa. Ma ancora non capisco perché non vedo nulla di strano e continuo a spalmarmi la mia crema. “Mamma eccolo, ancoa, ancoa, ancora!” E scoppia a ridere. Allora incuriosita mi avvicino al tappetino che si trova  accanto alla porta finestra. Mi inginocchio e cerco di capire cosa sta guardando. Cosa stava vedendo secondo voi mia figlia? Dal tappetino ecco spuntare una formichina nera, Ginevra mi guarda:  “Eccolo mamma! Ancoa!”. Io scoppio a ridere e le dico: “ Amore è solo una formichina!”. Lei mi guarda, scoppia a ridere e punta il dito verso la finestra, dicendomi : “Oh oh ancoa!”. Alzo lo sguardo e vedo che da sotto la porta finestra  ci sono, tutte in fila, una quantità infinita di formiche e penso “Oh no!”. Alzo il tappeto, Ginevra vede cosa c’è sotto e mi guarda e dice: “Ohohohoho”.  Mi viene da piangere, formiche ovunque! Lei ride divertita, io sono sulla soglia della disperazione perché le formichine, bestioline super  organizzate sono  già arrivate in cucina …Questo è stato il mio buongiorno alla primavera!!  Buon week end !!!!!

Happy Friday everyone! What are your plans for the weekend? I’m still not sure, but on Sunday I will certainly attend the opening of Emili, the new store that opened downtown in my beautiful Vicenza. Today I would like to tell you about how big my Tapu is getting, little Ginevra. She’s almost two years old, I don’t know if your children were already talking at that age, but my daughter makes me laugh so hard! She surprises me every day, she remembers everything I tell her and she pays attention to everything! I should actually thank her for teaching me to give the right importance to all the things that I surround me. The word of the month is “here it is!”. Let tell you about something too funny.The other day I was in the bathroom trying to wash my face, rub some cream and other things … she was, as always, around me going back and forth with her games. All of a sudden she yells: “Here it is mom, ohohoho, here it is!”. I look at her without really understanding what’s going on and just go ahead with what I was doing, when she goes again: “Mom here it is, here it is, here it is, oooooh! Here it is mom!!!!”. I see she’s looking at the little rug in our bathroom with a hand in front of her mouth, as to show how surprised she was. But I still don’t understand since I don’t see anything, and I keep rubbing my cream.“Mom, here it is, again, again, again!” and she bursts into laughter. So, curiously, I get closer to the rug located next to the French window. I kneel down and try to see what she is looking at. What do you think my daughter was looking at?I pick up the rug, Ginevra sees what’s underneath and goes: “Ohhohohoho”. I’m about to cry, there’s ants everywhere! She is amused and laughs, I am in despair because the ants, super organized little animals, already made their way to the kitchen…This was my “Hello” to spring!! I wish you a nice weekend!!!
