Alla sua uscita ha venduto in poco più di due settimane oltre 100.00 copie per arrivare a venderne, solo in Italia, 470.000.  In definitiva è il libro più venduto dello scorso anno. Il volume è un vero caso editoriale, anche perché è stato il più finanziato della storia del crowfounding.  Tutto ha avuto inizio da Kickstarter, una piattaforma di raccolta fondi online attraverso la quale il progetto, in poco meno di un mese ha raccolto più di un milione di dollari, provenienti da 70 nazioni diverse.  Un imprinting così importante che non poteva non preannunciare un successo unico. Io come tantissime mamme l’ho letto alla sera, con il pigiama addosso sotto le coperte, con mia figlia accanto.  E’ stato emozionante, perché i libri hanno un potere incredibile: quello di farti sognare!  Se poi il libro racconta, come 100 tra le donne più influenti del pianeta abbiano cambiato la storia, allora tutto si amplifica! Ha smosso la curiosità di Ginevra che mi ha chiesto chi fosse  Serena Williams, piuttosto che Rita Levi Montalcini  o Frida Kahlo. È stato così interessante leggere questo libro per entrambe ed insieme, che non vedo l’ora di leggerne il seguito!  Un libro che trova la sua massima forza nel connubio tra immagini e parole. Le immagini sono forti e colorate e i bambini non possono che esserne attratti; la narrativa riassume in modo semplice vite vissute che di semplice non hanno nulla. Le autrici, Elena Favilli e Francesca Cavallo hanno così voluto regalarci il seguito, nel volume due, edito dalla casa editrice Mondadori.Troveremo altre 100 nuove biografie che narrano di altre 100 fantastiche donne. Tra le protagoniste Audrey Hepburn e la nostra Bebe Vio. Con il primo volume Ginevra ed io abbiamo capito chi vogliamo diventare, l’importanza di inseguire i nostri sogni ad ogni costo e che spesso i nostri maggiori talenti sono nascosti dietro a ciò che ci riesce meno! Bisogna imparare ad ascoltare chi siamo e ad essere ribelli! In vista dell’estate, con più tempo e calma per parlarne insieme, ci dedicheremo al secondo volume.Voi intanto lo potete già trovare perché è uscito il 27 febbraio scorso.

It was exciting because books have incredible power: to make you dream! If then the book tells, as 100 of the most influential women on the planet have changed history, then everything is amplified! He moved the curiosity of Ginevra who asked me who Serena Williams was, rather than Rita Levi Montalcini or Frida Kahlo. It was so interesting to read this book for both and together, that I cannot wait to read the following! A book that finds its maximum strength in the combination of images and words. The images are strong and colorful and the children are very attracted to them; the narrative simply sums up lived lives, that have nothing simple. The authors, Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo have so wanted to give us the sequel, published by the publisher Mondadori. We will find another 100 new biographies that tell about another 100 fantastic women. Among the protagonists Audrey Hepburn and our Bebe Vio. With the first volume, Me and Ginevra have understood who we want to become, the importance of pursuing our dreams at any cost and that often our greatest talents are hidden behind what we can do less! We must learn to listen to who we are and to be rebels!
