L’igiene dentale è molto importante e per noi mamme è bene chiedersi quando è il momento esatto per iniziare a curare i dentini dei nostri figli. Sono cresciuta in Svizzera, un paese molto diverso dall ‘Italia, soprattutto  dal punto di scolastico,  tanto che tra i miei ricordi spiccano le ore passate in classe  insieme ad un’ igienista dentale che ogni tre mesi ci dava lezioni su  lavarci i denti .

Questi ricordi mi portano a fare alcune considerazioni sull’educazione Svizzera e l’educazione scolastica italiana. Mentre in Italia si forniscono le nozioni, ma si  tende a lasciare agli individui la libertà di capire quale strada percorrere per entrare nel mondo del lavoro, in Svizzera si tende invece ad impartire delle regole precise e a procedere in maniera meritocratica sin dagli anni delle scuole. Solo se superi certi step, accedi ai diversi livelli di istruzione e accedi,  in seguito, a determinati tipi di lavoro.

Ammetto che in Svizzera vi è più la tendenza all’individualismo, a considerare molto di più la persona presa nella sua singolarità piuttosto che nell’insieme , ma questo non mi  ha mai scoraggiata e nel mio piccolo ho cercato, e cerco sempre, di farmi spazio. Confido che mia figlia un giorno  diventi una donna realizzata e serena, grazie a ciò che sta ricevendo in Italia ma anche grazie alle mie esperienze personali. Sono sempre stata molto onesta con me stessa e con lei  non ho mai preteso di essere un’insegnante o una specialista, ma prendendo spunto dalla mia infanzia ed educazione, allo spuntare del suo primo dentino non ho perso tempo.
